Kannada Kuta, Vidyaranya
Chapter, established in the year 1972, is a non-profit organization catering to the Kannada speaking people in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Kannada Kuta was created to promote the language, culture, arts and literature of Karnataka.
During the past twenty seven years Kannada Kuta has organized numerous cultural & literary programs and has actively participated in various community events. It has hosted 'Madhyavalaya Sammilana' and in 1997 celebrated 25 years of existence.
Kannada Kuta started a charitable trust in 1993. Kannada Kuta Charitable Trust makes contributions to charitable organizations classifiable as non-sectarian, non-political and non-profit, catering to humanitarian needs, in India and to a small extent in U.S.A.
The Kannada Kuta also publishes a Kannada magazine ‘Sangama’ three times a year. This magazine has a collection of articles, short stories & poems, a crossword puzzle, and children’s section that include stories, jokes and views by kids. The magazine has information and reports on the activities and programs of KKVC too.
